Product Overview
Sodium Diisobutyl Dithiophosphate (DSP-03) is a high-performance mining flotation reagent widely utilized in mineral processing operations worldwide.
Product Introduction
Sodium diisobutyl dithiophosphate (DSP-03) is an aqueous solution of dialkyl dithiophosphate with minimal frothing characteristics. This fast-acting collector demonstrates superior selectivity in the flotation of copper sulphide minerals while effectively separating them from zinc and iron sulphides, as well as copper-activated zinc sulphides from iron sulphides.
Additional applications include flotation of copper-activated iron sulphides, nickel-bearing minerals, antimony minerals, chalcocite, and enhanced recovery of precious metals including gold, silver, and platinum.
Sodium Diisobutyl Dithiophosphate chemical structure and application
Dithiophosphates represent the second most common category of thiol collectors, with usage dating back to 1920. These collectors feature pentavalent phosphorus replacing tetravalent carbon, with two oxygen atoms linking to respective hydrocarbon chains. Available with alkyl chains ranging from C2 to C6 (or higher) in various isomeric configurations, dithiophosphates can be used independently but typically deliver optimal performance when combined with xanthates or other collectors.
